RochesterExpat Posted June 29 Report Posted June 29 I’m never opposed to adding a goalie with a late round pick. No complaints here. 1 Quote

The Jokeman Posted June 29 Report Posted June 29 Feels like a steal based on writeups but gotta wonder why he lost his starting job. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted June 30 Report Posted June 30 Always draft a goalie. It's fine. I'd be happier if he was bigger, but he's athletic and agile. Has Levi potential. Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 30 Report Posted June 30 So I didn't pay any attention to goalies this year but this guy was EPs #1. I find that interesting. Quote
Ctaeth Posted June 30 Report Posted June 30 Potential value pick? Sidenote: I was on the wikipedia 2024 nhl entry draft page and I saw Miroslav Satan was taken a few picks ahead of Leenders. The Miro page linked to our own Miroslav Satan, so I did a bit of a double take. Turns out the Caps drafted Miro's son w/ pick 212. I didn't know that Miro had a son or that he was draft eligible! GASabresIUFAN Posted July 4 Report Posted July 4 (edited) I finally watched the coverage of rounds 2-7 and the coverage team agreed that we got excellent value with Leenders in the 7th rd. Height was the issue, but they loved his athleticism in net. They did think he over plays the positions and needs to work on his “hockey IQ.” I took that to mean he needs to be more positionally and situationally aware. They said he has 2A potential which they explained as high end backup. Here is the graphic the they put up. Edited July 4 by GASabresIUFAN Quote
