LGR4GM Posted June 29 Report Posted June 29 Quote Helenius’ draft year was historic in many ways. His 36 points in 51 regular season games was the fifth-best mark among drafteligible skaters in Liiga history. His production only ramped up in the playoffs as he maintained a point-per-game pace through six games, joining Aleksander Barkov, Đaapo Đakko, and Mikael Granlund as the only players to do so at his age. That playoff run opened him a door with the men’s national team, and he ultimately ended up becoming the youngest Finnish player to appear at the men’s World Championship. ... Helenius’ skating has steadily improved, already to the point where we’re comfortable grading it as a slightly above-average NHL tool. As a playmaker, he’s shown impressive flashes of creativity and manipulative ability. He’s even gained confidence as a finisher, which can be seen in his increased shot volume. Still, Helenius’ pure skill level and offensive upside are not on par with the most dynamic forwards in this draft. He’s good everywhere, but not truly great in any single aspect of the offensive game. The floor is very high, but it’s hard to see him turning into a bonafide top-of-the-lineup player without significant progress over the next few years. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/796075/konsta-helenius 2 1 3 Quote

Archie Lee Posted June 29 Report Posted June 29 Love the pick. Here’s hoping he is our Aho. Now make some moves between now and Tuesday that relate to the coming season. Lots of time left. 3 1 1 1 Quote

triumph_communes Posted June 29 Report Posted June 29 (edited) Rochester in two year? I see we have a future 2/3C. Good with most other forwards being wings. Wish we would’ve traded but hey Edited June 29 by triumph_communes Quote
