PromoTheRobot Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 (edited) Meanwhile in Buffalo for Game 2... Also.... I guess when you got nothing else ... I'm making the drive to Albany tonight. Edited May 17 by PromoTheRobot 1 1 Quote
Taro T Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 Will be interesting to see how this one plays out. Just like the Bandits are Hamilton's kryptonite, the Firewolves have given the Bandits fits this year and last. (Bandits only win of the 4 came last year in the weird game where both teams only scored at the end where the Bandits' bench is and the Bandits scored more in the 2nd and 4th Q's than Albany had scored in the 1st & 3rd Q's. BUT, Albany hasn't faced Buffalo since they signed Ferrell which means Albany won't win pretty much every single faceoff. And the Bandits D and Vinc himself have been significantly improved this season since trading for Dawson and getting Weiss and the Robinson brothers back healthy. Expecting (hoping?) the experience of the Bandits is enough to overcome the Albany firepower and goaltending. But wouldn't have any money riding on this one. It should be a great series. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted May 17 Author Report Posted May 17 (edited) Just landed in Albany. Grabbing a slice at Sapienza's (excellent) before heading to City Beer Hall, where supposedly Bandits fans are meeting. Still early but only seeing Bandits colors. Edited May 17 by PromoTheRobot Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted May 17 Author Report Posted May 17 (edited) Inside City Beer Hall. 5 tables and the bar, all Bandits. Have not seen anyone in Firewolves gear yet, but it's early. Shout singing breaking out. 5:45: packed, all Bandits Edited May 17 by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted May 17 Author Report Posted May 17 (edited) Lower bowl holds 6K. I'm going to guess it's going to be just over 5K. Of that a [edit] quarter are Bandits fans. Edited May 17 by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote
Indabuff Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 That Farrell guy has not looked good. He absolutely sucked last game. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted May 18 Author Report Posted May 18 (edited) Three full sections of Bandits fans behind the bench. The rest of Banditland is spread around. Edited May 18 by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote

Stads Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 Dhane Smith had 11 points. Current MVP Bryne and him are hard to beat together Quote

Needed 6 assists to top his coach on the all time playoff assist list and ended up with 9. Will be interesting to see how the youthful Firewolves deal with the adversity of a must win game in a sold out enemy barn. Let's Go BAN-DITS!!!!!!! 1 Quote
Big Guava Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 Bandits whooped some ass in the 2nd half, only allowing 2 goals while scoring 7 of their own. Time to close it out at home for back to back ships... 1 Quote
Pimlach Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 Good to see this. I don’t get to see the lacrosse game very much but it’s nice to see Buffalo had a strong team that wins. It’s something positive for the sports fans and the team deserves more honors. Quote
