Probably more if he can convince people that that 20 goals is the norm for him (3 of last 5 seasons), not this season's 7 in 51 games. 1 Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 Thanks for the years and the goals. If the Sabres want to take the next step, olofsson can't be on this roster. 6 5 Quote
That Aud Smell Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 Candidate to be the poster child for the mediocrity of this particular Sabres team. (Although I'd be partial to some others.) 1 Quote

dudacek Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 Better player than this year showed. Bad fit with this team. He's an NHL player in the right situation, incredible success story for his draft pedigree and he carried himself well his entire career. Time to move on was a year ago. Wishing him luck. 4 1 Quote

I think his game has expanded beyond that but he's become such a whipping boy most fans refuse to even look at it. You see what you want to see with him. He's likely going to land somewhere as a middle six winger and power play specialist. 5 minutes ago, shrader said: I’m half expecting to see him head to Sweden. Or this. Quote

Pimlach Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 (edited) 17 hours ago, K-9 said: I’m interested in seeing how much a one trick pony fetches on the open market. There may be a place that he fits. He was a 7th rounder that could score some goals. He had 20 three times, one in only 56 games. Not a two way player but this year he tightened up his game to match the “defensively responsible “ system that Granato said he put in, that Adams emphatically said “never changed”. The Jokeman Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 He was good not great in the Donald Audette sort of way. Ideal 2nd liner/PP specialist. Jack Quinn should be an adequate replacement so he can stay healthy. Quote
#freejame Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 I might be completely making this up but I remember an article that floated around in his D+1 season talking about how he had the best shot in the draft and was known as the Swedish Stamkos and how if he didn’t play his draft season at 5’6” he would have been a first rounder. I always liked him and had high hopes for him. I hope he signs elsewhere and finds success. He can be a better player than he is and I hope he finds that level. Quote
