Wow.  I thought it was possible but not likely.

I wish DG well.  He seems like a good guy but was not the right guy for this job.

The best thing about this is that it means they are trying to be a real team again. 

Now KA needs to pick the right guy.

I personally feel bad for Granato because he seems like a great guy but from a team standpoint that was very much needed to push beyond development central.

I also like that it was done decisively -- immediately following the end of the season.  It's a clear statement, both internally and externally, that this past season was an unacceptable failure.

It would be more likely that Appert gets promoted to the show and Ellis to the Amerks as head coach, but I choose neither of these.
