When you are the worst team in all the NHL at 1st periods, it's time to fire the coaches.

Which means they are a lot better once you hit the first intermission, meaning the coaches are great at making adjustments.  It can be argued either way.  To me wins and losses, goals scored vs allowed across the entire game matter, when goals are scored vs allowed mean virtually nothing compared to the totals across the entire game.

Joker with a dumb penalty after another bad shift.

I don’t like the Joker - Byram pair at all.

The game comes down to a PK

I can’t believe there was a Stockholm Syndrome thread the other day making the case for Donny to keep his job.

Just wait until the KA press conference where he talks about making a push despite injuries and running it back again next year.

God this ***** team sucks ass!!!

This team doesn’t miss the playoffs by a point, or a game, or goal.

It is an 82 game season, they’ll miss because of tendencies. It isn’t a league where a bad bounce here or there is an excuse. The sample size is too large.

Every time there is an opportunity to get some positive traction they lose/fall on their face. Happened last year. Happening this year.

When they show the players read off the starting lineup cards, they all sound like their dogs just died.

These guys just don't give AF!! Laughing stock of the NHL. F you Pegula!!!

Just tuned in time to see Kane split two defenders who looked caught by surprise…

Now 3-0… And Comrie is the back up… Geez.

Good Oopie means we have a chance. A slim chance, but a chance.

Bad Oopie means no chance at all. Needless to say, we got bad Oopie today.

The Flyers game sealed this loss. This team always seems to need to get embarrassed to adjust.

Buffalo got away with one against Philly. Way outshot and way too many high danger chances. No business burying 4 on 20 shots or whatever it was.

Anytime that happens it’s like this team thinks that level of play was good enough and then they get punched in the face.

This only applies if the team scores enough in the last two periods to make up for the no-show in the first. And Granato's Sabres don't do that.  They lose too many games in the first period.

Hopefully we're watching Granato's swan song in Buffalo.

I think we've learned that Jokiharju has an issue with big pressure games; every time we've got to this point, he turns into mush.

I don’t understand why we acquired Byram for Mitts.  If we extend Byram then Joker is expendable.   Clifton has become the most reliable player we have.

Sabres embarrassed after 9 minutes.  Byram got his ass kicked
