nfreeman Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Both teams come out like they did last night -- Ottawa hustling, but the Sabres swarming. Sabres dominate the action in the first period, register a bunch of big hits and get a bunch of scoring chances. This time we convert a couple and go up by 2. Lindy continues to extract maximum gain from having the last change. Drury's line, with Tallinder and Lydman, neutralizes the reunited (in a desperation move) Spezza-Alfredsson-Heatley line. Briere's line continues to buzz around the net and create scoring chances. We continue to play highly focused, well-executed team defense, with plenty of blocked shots and sticks in the lanes. Max continues to find his groove and feeds Kotalik for a one-timer. Novotny and Pyatt each have another strong game. Miller stays in the zone. Ottawa mails in the last half of the game. Sabres, 4-1.
rickshaw Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Not good luck to predict the score, but I really hope we come out and score early and often so we can "will" the Sens into getting ready for the golf season. We need to make them want to not compete and go home.
Orange Seats Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Get a quick first goal and make them give up, sensing the inevitable.
