GoPuckYourself Posted March 21 Report Posted March 21 He was a great supporting actor in just about everything that I've seen him in... Fletch, The Jerk and I think Slapshot also. Rest in paradise Emmet! 1 2 Quote
msw2112 Posted March 21 Report Posted March 21 When I first saw this, I immediately thought of former Sabres defenseman "Richie" Dunn. I just looked Richie up and saw that he died in 2016 at the age of 59. I wasn't aware of this. RIP Richie. I looked up Emmett Walsh ("Dickie Dunn" in Slapshot) and I agree with you that he was an excellent supporting actor in many of my favorite films, so RIP to Emmett too. 2 Quote

Hawerchuk Posted March 21 Report Posted March 21 He was great in Slap Shot. "Dickie Dunn wrote this, it must be true!" Classic! He was also the diving swim coach in "Back To School" with Rodney Dangerfield. RIP Emmet Walsh. One great character actor for sure. 1 Quote
Stoner Posted March 21 Report Posted March 21 Between the aforementioned Dunn and Dick Duff, I did think this was a former Sabre. 1 Quote
