Actually I think that was on purpose:  I've noticed the Sabres, if they don't have a clean shot, are dumping it into the scrum in front and hoping for the best.  That's one way to take advantage of the Sabres forward talent:  Give them a chance in the midst of the confusion.  It worked tonight for Skinner.
