Does Marty have any interest in play by play? Among him, Cackler, Dunleavessomethingtobedesired, and NOccam’s Razor, Marty is definitely the best, and objectively good

Marty's great. He obviously has a tremendous understanding of the game and a hilarious voice which makes him naturally funny

Those third period scoring stats were kinda hilarious. Of course we've outscore the other team in the third. Cuz we're usually down by 3.

Marty definitely has the chops for color commentary, but play by play is an entirely different animal; more of an art form really, one that requires intense concentration, articulation, and stamina that allows a listener to close his eyes and follow the play sheerly from the description. The Sabres currently don’t employ anyone who is even close to being able to do it right.
