topshelfcookies Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Carolina better hope that 1- The Semi-Finals wrap up quickly. 2- The Eastern Conf. Finals don't go 7 games. 3- The Canes don't make the Stanley Cup Finals Check out the schedule at Carolina's RBC Center! Sesame Street Live Thu June 1, 2006 7:00 PM Fri June 2, 2006 10:30 AM Fri June 2, 2006 7:00 PM Sat June 3, 2006 10:30 AM Sat June 3, 2006 2:00 PM Sat June 3, 2006 5:30 PM Sun June 4, 2006 2:00 PM Tim McGraw/ Faith Hill June 9, 2006 8:00 PM The last scheduled games of the Semi-Finals would be Game 7 in San Jose and Anaheim on Friday May 19th. The East wraps things up by May 18th, at Carolina. (Buffalo's game 7 is scheduled for the 17th). So, the Eastern Conf. Finals would most likely start Saturday or Sunday May 20/21st, with the West starting the next night. Following the traditional, every-other-night schedule, Game 7 of the Conf. Finals would probably end up June 1st or 2nd, in Carolina. Obviously, this would directly conflict with Sesame Street. What does this mean? Really, a whole lot of nothing as of today. But, if this round goes to 7 games, look for another set of back-to back games during the Conference finals...most likely occuring again in Games 3 and 4 in Buffalo. The NHL won't schedule back to back games with teams needing to travel, and I would be surprised if they would open the series with back to back contests in Carolina, having the teams play Saturday/Sunday, or Sunday/Monday. Like I said...long ways off...but interesting to look at! Someone in Carolina didn't think that the Canes would go deep this spring!
