We still have a land line because our Provider sold it to us and included a bigger discount on other services. It was cheaper to get the land line than not to get it. We don't use but it is connected and works as a back up in emergency. I also have two portable digital TV antennas ($20 cheapo's from Amazon) so we can pick up the local over the air TV channels without internet or cable service. Quote
