Guy has been literally fighting for his job for tryouts the last few weeks. Then instead of relying on JA17 heroics they played for the safe long kick. Which is as much of a compliment for JA17 as it is on the coaching. Then he pays dividends. Woo, not sure I could’ve done that. Must be why I’m no NFL coach

The Bills locker room is great.  McDermott nailed it. One game ball only, and for the guy who came up big in the same game where he was shaken.  Add that he has other kickers in his house trying out.and everyone in the room knows it.

No doubt McDermott talked to Bass before he brought the kickers in, and continued to work with him during that time.

McDermott trusted Bass and he came through.  Great stuff.

Is this the new SOP in the NFL? Reliable vets who aren't on playoff teams or don't factor into their current team's plans get released in early November so that they can find somewhere else to play?

I wonder what Phillips and Jefferson have left in the tank.

Always liked him but he had a lot of injuries. We need a healthy version of him.

He was good but he would get into the McD dog house on occasion by leaving his gap and over playing pass rush.  When he sticks to his assignment he does fine.

If a player is in the last year of a deal, might as well get some draft pick for them from a desperate team. Right now teams like the Bills and Ravens are desperate. One can't stop the run and the other can't stop the pass. Not sure Phillips is going to really help the Bills or Tre White help the Ravens. Hard to see how either team can beat a team like the Chiefs and then beat a team like the Lions and win the Super Bowl.

I was just looking at the broadcast maps to see my options this weekend. The Bucs game is blacked out in Tampa. I thought they got rid of that.

The Bucs game is not blacked out in Tampa. It is on Fox and has the Fox top crew of Burkhardt and Tom Brady. Game is on Tampa and San Francisco and in a huge chunk of the country. McCaffrey is also expected to play.

Keon is out for this game and likely until at least the Niners game. Amari Cooper is questionable after a week of limited practice.

Shakir maybe listed as slot, but he is WR#1.  Might need Cooper next week but as long as the safety blanket is active Sunday I’m good.

i hear you. it helps to have credible WR’s opening up space for the shakir-friendly routes. hopefully cooper can go.

Josh Allen is 4TDs away from being the Bills all time TD leader.

Not to pick nits, but he's 3 away. Allen has 241, Kelly had 244, so 3 will put him into a tie. Joe Ferguson (191) and Jack Kemp (102) are the only other Bills QBs with at least 100. Fitzmagic is 5th with 82.

Someone who is tied for the all-time lead is the all-time leader. Hence the nitpick.

I really hope this game doesn’t come down to our WR’s having to make a play.

Did I do that right @Night Train? Hey, it worked last week. Keep that gif cued up and ready to go.

Go Bills. Looking for the 3-straight-wins holiday weekend for Buffalo sports fans!

No it means they are TIED for the all time leader... hence the nitpick.

Being all time leader and nothing else said means you are the only one. I don't know why you are being so weird about this maybe take a break from the internet. Actually I am just gonna block you.

It looks like this could be an interesting match up.

Bills will be depleted  at WR with Coleman out, Cooper and. Samuel are questionable.  Allen still has Shakir and Kincaid, but I expect to see a big dose of Cook and Ray Davis if the OL can dominate the LOS.   Colts are weak versus the run.

Colts will probably try to establish a running game of their own. Jonathan Taylor has been a challenge for Buffalo in the past.

I expect to see the Bills prevail and Buffalo to get Double Dip Dubs following the Sabres win on Saturday.

Go Bills !
