In a team sport, Josh (our MVP!!!) is the alpha and omega of the franchise.  A true cornerstone.  What an acceptance speech from such a humble man.

It's becoming a tough ask, but I hope the Bills can bring home a future Lombardi trophy with him here.

I'm still devastated, but this helps a bit.

Happy for him. After finishing 5th in MVP voting last season when he should have been 1st or 2nd, to being named the most overrated player in the league this offseason, to winning the MVP this season. It's nice to see him get some recognition, especially since you need awards like that for the Hall of Fame.

He becomes just the third QB to ever win MVP without also winning 1st team All Pro, after Elway (who beat out Montana) and McNair (who shared with Peyton).

 

Next stop: Super Bowl, pretty, pretty, pretty please.

He was not. A pretty big tell on the pending outcome. And I realize the winner is not revealed until awarded (sure 🙄)

I do not follow the Bills nearly as much as I did in the past, so maybe what I am going to say is because of that but....

A player on my team getting an award, even MVP? Its good for them personally, but it doesn't really mean much to me as a fan.  I would give up every single individual award players on my team win, even multiple MVP's, if that meant they won just one more game in the playoffs in any given year (even if that didn't guarantee a title)

We all would.  But .... Josh is such a good guy, the heart and soul of this team, and humble, too.  He is the main reason for their recent success, and he will be the main reason for them getting further in the future, if they do.  So, it's good for him to get some well-deserved recognition.  He said it's really a team award, and I'm 100% certain he would have traded it for a win against the Chiefs, too.

I think that's largely a function of the sheer number of posters at TBD. There's so many more of them than there are here. And, of course, the Bills fan base dwarfs the Sabres fan base. Football is king.

I logged off from TBD long ago -- maybe 15+ years ago? I haven't been back.

TBD is definitely a shadow of its former self. There used to be some great people posting. Some passed away, I guess. The new crop are mostly Madden GMs.

I used to think anyone would trade their MVP for a Super Bowl.  Cam Newton proved me wrong in that one.

Omg will that be us, when the Sabres get good again.    Dead and replaced by video game GMs.  I'm so old, I don't remember what the NHL equivalent to Madden is? Maybe just NHL 25?

If you ever want a laugh , go back to twitter and read some of the takes leading up to and post 2018 NFL draft   You will find some real doozies, including a lot from current Buffalo Media and Sabres Twitter personalities    
 

good on Josh on not only making them look silly but on getting to the elite level he is at.

I think it was a couple things. Partly because the Bills started getting good again. And partly, I believe, because another Bills board shut down and the posters migrated over to TBD (Scott can possibly verify that). Used to read the board a lot but never posted and I recall things going a bit 'south' all at once. 

This (on SabreSpace) is a welcomed alternative to chat about the Bills. Let's face it, the Venn diagram of Sabres and Bills fans has a huge overlap.

That was the official fan forum run by the Bills. But that happened a while ago. 17 years of playoff drought made our Team Stormcloud look like the Welcome Wagon by comparison. 😂

The details of the Bills acquiring #BillsMafia "from him" remain murky to me.

Why not give the way back machine a break and go back to just this past offseason? He might as well be comeback player of the year with how much stupidity was said about him that recently.
