mjd1001 Posted Friday at 07:47 PM Report Posted Friday at 07:47 PM Why Ravens QB Lamar Jackson likely just won third NFL MVP and became the youngest in league history to do so Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson appears to be on the verge of becoming the youngest in NFL history to win a third NFL MVP. The 28-year-old can probably start writing his acceptance speech after Friday's Associated Press All-Pro team announcement. Jackson was named the NFL's First Team All-Pro quarterback for the 2024 season after receiving 30 first-place votes to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen's 18. The Associated Press is also the body that votes for the NFL MVP, and with a quarterback winning the award every season since 2013, it's safe to say Jackson will be taking home MVP hardware for the third time in his career after winning the award in 2019 and 2023. full article: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/why-ravens-qb-lamar-jackson-likely-just-won-third-nfl-mvp-and-became-the-youngest-in-league-history-to-do-so/ Quote
That Aud Smell Posted Friday at 08:37 PM Author Report Posted Friday at 08:37 PM No 1st team All Pros. Allen as the only 2nd Team All Pro. An MVP snub incoming. This is all good news for those who cheer for the Bills. 1 Quote
JujuFish Posted Friday at 08:49 PM Report Posted Friday at 08:49 PM The Bills have the second most wins in the NFL since 2020. They have a grand total of two 1st team All Pros in those 5 seasons combined. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCVR_ajL_Eo 1 Quote

This is all good news for those who cheer for the Bills. I kinda feel like all pro is a stat award and value to his team is for MVP. Give Josh nine pro-bowlers to work with like Lamar and his stats would be nuts. Or maybe mvp is a stats award too. I would like to think there’s some nuance there to voters. 2 Quote

I'm like: Deny the Bills *all* the awards. Please disrespect them. And I can hear Dion from the podium in the Super Bowl post-game already -- confetti swirling down -- talking mad sh1t about how they're just Josh the Alien and then a bunch of no-names who shocked the world. I think that sort of stuff can be surprisingly important and effective for these guys to feed off of. 1 Quote

Scottysabres Posted Saturday at 05:48 PM Report Posted Saturday at 05:48 PM Took my step-father to last years Pittsburgh wild card game. 75 he was then, 2 knees, 1 hip replacement, I bought him all the necessary gear to stay nice and warm. My step-daughter and her fiancée are season ticket holders, they tailgate down by kettles, my step-father got lit up last year lol. He had a blast. i just informed him we are going tomorrow, he’s ecstatic, started digging out his game gear while I was still on the phone with him lol. This is a hard road to a Super Bowl victory. This team is ready, flawed defense and all, they are ready to crush those that stand in the way of that trophy. At 54, every part of my being tells me this is it, my whole heart is in it, the time has come, starting with tomorrow our Bills are marching to destiny. GO BILLS!!! 3 2 Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted Saturday at 07:24 PM Report Posted Saturday at 07:24 PM I was offered tickets for the game tomorrow, but I have to work an overnight at 7pm. By time I get that all situated, if have to rush out, beat traffic and hope everything goes smooth (game isn't delayed, no OT) and make it out towards Rochester in time; on top of that I'd have to stay sober. Can't drink and doctor apparently 😜 Sooo I will maybe have one on the couch in the early afternoon and watch from my casa. 1 Quote
EM88 Posted Sunday at 01:17 AM Report Posted Sunday at 01:17 AM Pittsburgh V Baltimore on right now. Pitt wearing the white shirts with the yellow pants, vs Baltimore with the purple tops and white pants. Might be one of the best, if not the best color combo to watch a game. Quote

Baltimore looks like a tough out. Already ran over Bills. Yet todays focus is Denver. Win. 1 Quote

JustOneParade Posted Sunday at 05:56 PM Report Posted Sunday at 05:56 PM Just got back from the liquor store. I was inexplicably out of Buffalo Trace. A guy in the store sees my Bills shirt and gives me the side-eye, dismissive smirk. Me: “Is there a problem?” Him: “You guys suck. Gonna lose today” Me: “What time do the Pats play today?” Him: walks away quietly. Such is the life of Bills faithful in Pats land. Go Bills!! 1 4 Quote

JujuFish Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM Report Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM 63 yards per drive, but only 10 points. Time to finish drives. Quote
JustOneParade Posted Sunday at 07:27 PM Report Posted Sunday at 07:27 PM (edited) Where have we seen this picture before in the playoffs? Minimal seconds left. Opponent needs a big play to get into scoring position. McD calls time out to set his defense. Opponent converts big play for field goal attempt. Fortunately it was doinked. Infuriating. Crusader1969 Posted Sunday at 07:54 PM Report Posted Sunday at 07:54 PM Hopefully they get this game into a position where they don't need Mcdemott making a big decision late in the game Quote

Ctaeth Posted Sunday at 08:06 PM Report Posted Sunday at 08:06 PM Surprised they didn't kick the field goal there, would've made it a two possession game. Glad it worked out Quote
