Fumbles increase historically about 35% at those temps above normal and trh colder it gets, the harder it is to hold onto the ball for a few reasons. First it gets slipperier because the material becomes more rigid and harder to hold on to. Second, your hand grip strength becomes far less in cold weather. Both teams would be smart to rip at the ball every chance they get. Could be the difference in the game with how frequently Lamar likes to dance behind the line and avoid rushers/tacklers. Expand To be fair, I have no idea who is playing in the NFC, but would be able to name Goff as QB of the Lions. And he's not nearly as highlight-worthy as Allen or Jackson. Quote
