Perhaps I misunderstood Orlovsky, but the fact that Spagnola played a zone concept the one time in a hundred didn’t fool anybody, which is the point I was trying to make. From what I can tell, it still looked like man coverage pre-snap. Quote

Allen recognized it wasn't man coverage pre-snap when he saw nobody following the the man in motion. I don’t always like Brady’s concepts, but sending the RBs to the flats forced Bolton into coverage on several occasions, thus eliminating Spagnola’s spy, which Bolton is 99% of the time we play the Chiefs. I think Brady schooled one of the better DCs in the game. Of course none of that success is possible without excellent execution, especially by the OLine, who all should have received game balls despite the lack of success on running plays not involving Allen. I was looking for it and couldn't find till now, Josh Allen talked about how he could have checked out of it but they disguised it very well so he thought it was man until they snapped it and the chiefs dropped into zone. shrader Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 I hate it when the jets fire someone because it opens up that very small chance that they finally get it right. 1 1 2 1 Quote

There were a couple tells that tipped me off; very little movement by the Chiefs D when Shakir shifted to the backfield and as Johnson went in motion the Chiefs CB on the right side of their alignment simply shifted a little bit to his right instead of a dedicated man following him across the formation. Flashsabre Posted November 22 Report Posted November 22 https://www.sportsnet.ca/nfl/article/49ers-qb-purdys-status-for-packers-game-in-doubt-due-to-shoulder-injury/ Purdy has a sore throwing shoulder and is questionable against GB Sunday. Wonder how serious it is and if it could affect hm against the Bills the following week. Quote

Yeah, a LOT of articles about why the Jints should fire Daboll (and some saying Schoen should go too) but there doesn't seem to be anything credible saying it has actually happened. (But wouldn't be surprised at all if 1 or both are gone after they get humiliated in Dallas; presumes they'll get humiliated in Dallas, not a given but doesn't seem like too risky an expectation.) Night Train Posted November 25 Report Posted November 25 San Fran looked bad with backups this Sunday. Lose by 28. Wonder what the status is for those missing players next Sunday in Orchard Park. No mercy to the pre-season SB pick for the NFC. 1 Quote
