In the rink's cold gleam, where the Sabres took the stage,
The Kings met their match, in a zero-sum cage.
Ukko-Pekka stood tall, a wall in the net,
His fourth season shutout, the best one yet.

Rookie Zack Benson, with grace on his skates,
Scored while falling, sealing the Kings' fates.
Jordan Greenway, with vigor and might,
Struck twice, assisted once, in the night's light.

The scoreboard told tales of a 7-0 game,
A victory so sweet, it could never be tame.
Buffalo roared, their spirits alight,
For one glorious game, everything was right.

Leadership.

Think he and Dahlin are the leaders of this team going forward. Hopefully they not only lead by example next year but have the confidence to call out anyone on the team not pulling their weight, putting in an effort or spending too much of their time figure skating on the perimeter..(skinner ...cough cough)

The point is to make the playoffs. Missing the playoffs so your goalie can “develop” is unacceptable at this point for the franchise. GMKA made a bad bet and he lost the season as a result.

If you believe a playoff goalie was just waiting to be acquired. Who was that goalie? Demko? Stayed the the Canucks. Gibson? Elvis?

Do you make a deal just to make one? Or do you NOT trade assets and develop your own starter?

It’s been a long enough stretch now that I just expect a solid start from UPL.

Keep Levi in Rochester for the season.

If they want an upgrade on Comrie to spell UPL from time to time I can see that but trading for an impact goalie at this point makes no sense. UPL-Levi are good enough starting next season.

Trade for an impact Dman.

How about sign Matt Roy as an UFA? But no matter how they do it , they need a legit top 4 RHD

Huge gap between what we got from Comrie and Levi to other backups available

you are setting the bar too low. You are claiming Adams couldn’t have acquired anything better than non-NHLers. Is your claim there were no NHL worthy goalies available?

In either of the last few years?

Not to mention, the addition by subtraction of merely NOT rostering and playing Comrie this year would have netted us points

why isn’t anyone trying to give KA kudos for sticking with Comrie?

U gotta look at the totality, here. It’s the only fair way. Ie: the results

No one available was going to significantly better. Again, names please.

“Don’t like the guy the paid professional with all the accompanying resources got? I’d like to see you do better!”

”taking a shot at VO’s 2 way ability? I’d like to see YOU do better!”

A truly meaningless argument

Man, I love being wrong about players.

As one of his biggest detractors, I wanted Adams to waive UPL. Total wrong call.

Rosen is my other pet peeve player in this org. Hated the pick given his only claim to fame was a hot U18 championship. He's been better than what I predicted, but not by much. Here's hoping I can wear the egg on my face for him too.

Every single goalie that moved hands this year was better than Comrie. Every one. Those are your names

another: UPL. Adams only had enough “gosh golly gee” confidence in UPL to force him to split starts equally with drastically inferior goalies to start the year.

I’m honestly not sure what you are missing here

how many ways do you need to be wrong. Seriously, how many concrete ways can you fail to grasp the fact the results were bad?

actually, my mistake, you’ve already argued they were good, and backed down from it, and retreated to “well ok I was wrong the results were bad but they couldn’t have been better”

yes, there was no way. The goaltending was handled perfectly.

You wouldn’t even take my out that we could agree goaltending was managed fine if the priority was development rather than winning lol

Good Evening Teammates, Punch checking in late.  I missed the best game of the season, had a Valentines Date.

I looked at the game stats. Our 1st line (Tage line) played the least minutes and didn’t do much. Odd for that to happen and win 7-0.  ?

I’ll go back and read the thread now.  Should be fun

How many seasons was Bogo here?

Didn't even play one full seasons worth of games, smh.

Eddie “the Entertainer” Shack was a great acquisition in the first few expansion years and lived up to his name as a Sabre.  Fans loved him. He was traded for Rene Robert.  Another score for Punch.

Anyone ever notice that it’s usually the west coast teams that we beat 8-1 or 9-2? But when we play someone bad we lose?

I don’t know what the recent Kings travel schedule is but the west coast team cover a lot more ground traveling.

Eh.  Doesn't seem to bother him.  At this point he's probably thinking about waiting until his career is over.  Yeah he wears a mask but things still happen.

The kicker. I didn't watch, I decided to put Legos together and play Assassin's Creed. I looked at the score, chuckled a little and back to my hobbies.

I'm sure it was fun. I'm also Sure it's...
