it's insane how much this kid has come around.  not all that long ago he was sent back down to rochester and considered a likely bust.  now, we're talking about whether he should be voted to an all star game.  good for casey and good for the sabres being patient (there's that word again!) with him.

Love Mitts but Tage needed to be there last year, but got injured and should be voted for this year, if only for the slapshot competition.

You can vote for 8 skaters. Vote for both.

Mittlestat is not an All Star. His stats look relatively good because of injuries and underperforming by his teammates. But there are plenty of other NHLers more deserving.

His stats look good because he has played good.  They may not be all star level stats, but give the man his due.  He has been a bright spot this year

So then cast your votes for Savoie.  It'll make his parents happy.  😛

You do realize that Mitts is 11th in the NHL with Even Strength Points with 29.  11th and only 2 points out of 6th.  That’s all-star worthy.( It may even be sponge worthy).

If Mitts were playing with the first line like he did at the end of the season last year, his stats would be even more impressive. There are good reasons for people to be disappointed on how this season has turned out so far. How he has played is cause for celebration in a season of many disappointments.

Mitts is a player that does things correctly, and he does things to help you win that don't make the score sheet.   He could be an All Star if scoring was not so much of a huge factor, there are so many teams and lots big scorers from all the divisions.

Unless you get Selke recognition, it is hard for a good player like Mitts to make an Al Star team but not impossible.

To get Selke Recognition it really helps to play on a good team.

Maybe it’s enough to make you wet, but I doubt the rest of the league and fanbase is going to agree that a solid, responsible, 2nd line center is a bonafide all star.

Yeah I’m struggling to see how a guy putting up modest points on a garbage team is worthy of all star accolades.  Not that I care much about the whole process.

He was sent to Rochester 4 years ago.
