CBJ had a gritty OT win vs. the Leafs last night in Columbus, so in theory they should be the more tired team.  Fantilli looks impressive.  A Sabres loss drops us another place in the standings.

I must confess I still believe, still believe, that some season the Sabres will make the playoffs -- with as many as 50% of the current players on the roster still on the Sabres (and not just in the NHL).

It just goes to show you that with 25% increase of competence would be good enough for another 10 points. With all that has transpired just flip 5 wins or 3 wins with 4 loser OT points and we'd be on track.  That is how much of an outlier of futility we are that in 13 years we could not achieve this scenario.  It's really not that hard to make the playoffs.

CBJ is the only team in the conference that does not have games in hand with Buffalo.   Reality is we are probably 11-12 games behind when you factor games in hand.
