matter2003 Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Tonite certainly MUST!! This team WILL NOT accept losing regardless of the situation, the team, the momentum, how much pressure there is, whatever the situation is. Relentless, fearless, never giving up, never quitting, coming back when all seems lost, using adversity to their advantage instead of their detriment.... Ottawa fans keep thinking its something the Sens are doing, and in a way they are right....their players aren't willing to do whatever it takes to win, Chara again lost a battle along the boards in OT to allow Pyatt to get the puck and set up the chance, which Dumont made no mistake with. Replay that over and over and thats why Ottawa is down 3-0 in this series. Its the same type of play over and over that is winning us game. In Game 1, Briere raced around Chara behind the net with 15 seconds left and shoveled it in front as Connolly scored to send it to OT. In Game 2 Pyatt again, won a battle at the blue line and after 3 attempts, got the puck out to Dumont at center ice to spring a 2 on 1 against Chara which they ultimately scored on. Its really that simple....we are more desperate to win than they are...Ottawa's players just seem to be waiting for someone else to do it, and are very non-chalant much of the time... Is it any surprise?? Buffalo has been doing this and winning like this all year long...Ottawa has been used to blowing teams out and winning on talent alone. Now we see what style wins in the playoffs.... This is a magical season I wish would never end....perhaps the best season in Buffalo sports history...we know all good things must come to an end at some point, and if it must, here's hoping it comes to an end with Drury and Briere skating around with a big, metal, shiny, silver cup....
