Hopefully one of the boys has a good Vegas hookup and they come out flying.

Good on Dylan. Even better on who got to ride the White Horse.

So surprised no comments on the penalties. Big bad Vegas gets one illegal equipment penalty (anyone know what for) and we take all the other penalties. It’s incredible how we are officiated.

As one of the most senior members of this Sabres Fan Crises Support Group, I find your emotion to be both comforting that we aren't alone, yet, concerning that your not progressing at a "consistent" time frame.

If there is anything Levi, Benson, Dahlin and UPL? can do to help, don't hesitate to reach out and let them know 😉

I don’t watch and they win!!!

Coincidence? Or......Karma for caring? Let's ask the SS panel 😀

Benson > Skinner?

When you factor in defensive awareness I think Benson is close to a better player today.  When you factor in that he's only 18 years old, it won't even be close soon enough.  Love Skinner on the O but his D is straight trash.

LOL. Bro, you're just angry that I'm not still playing for your team. Check the box score. Guess who scored tonight? Oh, that's right. Check the standings. Vegas at the top. BuffaLOLOLOLO Sabres at the bottom. Gotta log off and finish showering. Peace out. - Jackie Boy

Illegal equipment was called roughing.   He pulled Samuelsson’s helmet off in a scrum.  They had to call it

The officials we not very good, but at least they didn’t influence the outcome too much

That's the problem.  We don't have enough centers if Cozens, Mitts, and TNT all play in the top 6.  I don't think Krebs is a top 9 player.

They don't.  But IF the top 2 lines are working with Cozens on a wing, it doesn't really matter whether Krebs (or even Jost or a callup or a traded for for a 6th rounder) is a middle 6 player or a bottom 6 player.  Other teams bottom 6ers and bottom pairing guys will get overcome often just by the 2 wingers that ARE top 6 players.  (Once Quinn gets his legs back under him.  Expect that might not occur until about a month after he's back.)

Get 2 scoring lines working.  THEN worry about how to make an effective 3rd scoring line.

The backend is still a mess.

This is a recording.....

I'm back to where I was all last summer.  This team is 2 D upgrades and a veteran goalie away from being legitimate.

Ryan Johnson should not come out of the lineup unless He is injured.

Erik Johnson and Clifton however absolutely can

Not opposed to sitting Clifton…but I noticed he has five assists in his last five games.  His mistakes are glaring, but he’s playing better than the start of the year.

Even if you include his play post-injury (a 9 game sample) his record is 5-1-2 with a 0.901 SV% and a 2.97 GAA.  Which is still darn good for a rook.  (The GAA since coming back up is 1.71.  They can work with that.  😉 )

We did.

I checked my phone as the party was winding down... this morning I was looking forward to seeing a slick Power goal in the highlights...

Keep doing the good work, ESPN!

Well that was satisfying. If only they could do that consistently. Benson, Cozens and Mitts came through. Levi was good.

Can't help thinking " Here we go " when Eichel stuffs in that gift to make it 2-1 Vegas. And then...

Jekll & Hyde. Now which do we get tonight ??

This team has the capability to beat anyone in the NHL. They have beaten the NHL points leaders regularly this year.

They also are maddeningly inconsistent and seem to think after one of those games where they play well that "they've got it made" and can then come out and do whatever the next game and they'll get the same result.

Nope...it's almost like they are trying their damnedest to get results with minimal effort but everytime they try they lose badly. Not sure why they won't accept working hard every night and being prepared to play every night is their new standard.

It's like they want to get A's in school but instead of studying for tests and getting some sleep they are playing video games all night an staying up til like 3am.

Essentially...these young players haven't learned how to be professionals yet and are seemingly fighting against having to put in that level of work consistently to get there...they keep thinking there is some other shortcut they can use...well, how many times does it have to be shown that there are no shortcuts now?

Just watched the game on DVR....fantastic 3rd period for the win!  Did anybody catch the post goal celebration after Benson's goal?  He was surrounded by TNT, Tuch, Power and Muel....he looked like a sapling standing between 4 redwoods...great image!!!  But he clearly stood above all of them with his performance!!!

Really don't see it as a lack of effort or a belief that they'll just roll over the next opponent after getting a W.  Expect it's more often a case of giving up a bad early goal putting them on their heels for too long to work their way out of it.

Except they regularly come out and play like garbage and like the keystone cops for many minutes often times before the other team scores

The given reality?… Bias… We are still perceived as a lower echelon team despite beating all the top teams this season…

When we are league-leading defending Stanley Cup Champs playing at home… imagine the calls will come our way too…

Looking forward to that day.

IT looks like effort to me Taro.  Sure, sometimes the goaltending is not there.  Many games after a win they don't play hard enough, they  wait for the game to come to them.

Last night it took us ten minutes to get going, thankfully Levi was really on his game.
