I don’t wish injury on anyone on my teams but I am interested to see what some other LW can do in his place.

Skinner has been the Sabres' best goal scorer this season (along with Peterka).  This is not good news for a team that is already struggling.

I'm going to guess it's a shoulder injury.  Shoulders are wonky and can be very painful but still functional.  Possibly also ribs or back.  The fact that he immediately left the game after the hit, then returned for one shift tells me it wasn't a concussion.  He probably thought he could tough it out but after the power play shift decided that he couldn't play through it.

I also remember when he twisted his ankle at an impossible angle and it looked like he'd be out for a long time but he returned next game.  So hopefully this won't be  a very long stint on IR.

I see Murray on the 4th line and existing players bumping up a line.  Robinson to the 3rd line, Olofsson to the 2nd.  Or something like that.

Borderline late hit imo, but the whiplash he got from it, Im scared of a concussion, its good to side line him.

This could be the defining moment for this team. It’s time to step up and grow up. 
that said, skinner is an albatross. He’s never been to the playoffs. As soon as he left Carolina, they made the playoffs. 
I actually love the guy, but…ya gotta face facts.
