A big boy replacing a smaller boy.

Murray is actually 25 so a proper man.  Not a boy atoll.

Over / under that he gets a 5 minute major for being a tough guy ??

Brett Murray is to tough as Zemgus Girgensons is to scoring.  It doesn’t happen often and we’re usually quite surprised when it happens.

Well then, hopefully he will spend the entire 5 minutes he is on the ice with a snarl to look tough.  Maybe that will be enough.

So he’ll line up a ton of checks and then just miss completely?

Have you seen him play? He will get in front of the net but not much of physical player.

Another listed left winger. He would have to clear waivers to go back down. Maybe precursor move to a trade package?

Only if he stays up for 10 games or 30 days.  He already cleared waivers before the season started.  Staying short of both thresholds lets him go up and down at will.

They really truly have no legit 4th liners down on the farm.  How is that possible?

Losing Murray, which is highly unlikely given his foot speed and lack of any one quality being good enough to warrant keeping him, won’t be an issue.

Just so I follow, is Brett Murray, who has cleared waivers more times than I can remember and has played slightly more NHL games than me, a part of the trade package?  📦

They have either not drafted any or traded away any future hopefuls.  To be fair, finding 4th liners shouldn’t be a problem.  We picked one up for practically nothing last week.

You're right, they're pretty easy to come by.  But you'd think it would make sense to have at least ONE in house for when a legit one gets injured.  (Guess now that they have Robinson they figure they do have a spare when Girgensons is back healthy.  But, when one of those 4th liners is Okposo, still say they need at least 1 more.  Realizing full well the Sabres braintrust doesn't agree with that take.)

This was my exact thought too.

I really hope so.  Would have beat MTL in regulation if a forward with the requisite skill set to play the PP was given the opportunities that KO had on the PP.

You don't collect and keep them is how. You can literally get them for free, see Robinson.

Hell they could have signed Puljujarvi this past week if they wanted big man with stick.

Not saying they should have a ton of them.  But, having 1 available to step up, who knows the "system" btw, wouldn't be a horrible thing to have.
