Sabres Fan in NS Posted December 11, 2023 Report Posted December 11, 2023 A big boy replacing a smaller boy. Murray is actually 25 so a proper man. Not a boy atoll. Over / under that he gets a 5 minute major for being a tough guy ?? 1 Quote

It doesn’t happen often and we’re usually quite surprised when it happens. 2 4 1 1 Quote
FrenchConnection44 Posted December 11, 2023 Report Posted December 11, 2023 This is a good move. Could have made it a week or two ago. Rosen was not getting ice time here. He will in Rochester. Murray may not add a ton of talent but he’s a man. And he isn’t a developing prospect who needs time on the ice. 1 1 Quote

Maybe that will be enough. 1 Quote

Jorcus Posted December 11, 2023 Report Posted December 11, 2023 Another listed left winger. He would have to clear waivers to go back down. Maybe precursor move to a trade package? Quote

Maybe precursor move to a trade package? Only if he stays up for 10 games or 30 days. He already cleared waivers before the season started. Staying short of both thresholds lets him go up and down at will. They really truly have no legit 4th liners down on the farm. How is that possible? 1 Quote

Just so I follow, is Brett Murray, who has cleared waivers more times than I can remember and has played slightly more NHL games than me, a part of the trade package? 📦 5 minutes ago, Taro T said: Only if he stays up for 10 games or 30 days. How is that possible? They have either not drafted any or traded away any future hopefuls. To be fair, finding 4th liners shouldn’t be a problem. We picked one up for practically nothing last week. 1 1 1 Quote

But you'd think it would make sense to have at least ONE in house for when a legit one gets injured. (Guess now that they have Robinson they figure they do have a spare when Girgensons is back healthy. But, when one of those 4th liners is Okposo, still say they need at least 1 more. Realizing full well the Sabres braintrust doesn't agree with that take.) 1 Quote
JustOneParade Posted December 11, 2023 Report Posted December 11, 2023 Good. (Selfishly). I'll get to watch both Rosen and Kulich in the Amerks lineup Wednesday night. A week ago I thought I might get to see Levi also. But alas .... 3 Quote

Would have beat MTL in regulation if a forward with the requisite skill set to play the PP was given the opportunities that KO had on the PP. 1 1 Quote

You can literally get them for free, see Robinson. Hell they could have signed Puljujarvi this past week if they wanted big man with stick. Quote

Mustache of God Posted December 11, 2023 Report Posted December 11, 2023 I haven't been watching too closely the past few weeks. Did Rosen show any flashes of anything? I feel like a barely heard his name called in the games he was in. 1 Quote

But, having 1 available to step up, who knows the "system" btw, wouldn't be a horrible thing to have. Quote
