Going back to the original remark:  He will drive into coverage, but he's pretty good at emerging on the other side with the puck after he's drawn the defense to him, and finding the open winger.  That's specifically what I was referring to.  He doesn't do it all the time but when he does the Sabres get some good chance out of it.
