Waive Bryson, send Levi down, callup Kulich or Rosen or both, bench E Johnson and give R Johnson more minutes, trade for a middle 6 guy and get olofsson off the team.

Defenseman Chad Ruhwedel is week-to-week with a lower-body injury he sustained against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 33-year-old has one point in 15 games this season. This is a big loss to the Penguins who are already without P.O. Joseph on their blueline as Joseph is listed on the injured reserve.

Rickard Rakell missed practice and is expected to be out ‘longer term’ with an upper-body injury. Rakell has four assists in 17 games this season.

Bryan Rust took the ice prior to the morning practice, but left just moments later; Sullivan stated Rust is being evaluated for a lower-body injury. Rust has nine goals and 16 points in 17 games and has been a crucial part of the Pens’ top six.

Definitely feels like they are unsure what to do in regards to Ryan Johnson; he's certainly NHL capable but they value Erik Johnson's veteran presence, analytics be damned. Unlike some of you, I don't see Erik Johnson as some sort of detriment; he's far from perfect but he also certainly brings an element of savviness to his game to help make up for some of his faults. 

Benson is a Catch-22, if we keep him he won't be physically ready but still effective. If we were to send him back our team would be likely weaker and that would be a further detriment to our playoff aspirations.

What has he done wrong.?  He’s been solid all season and a very key PKer.  Clifton or Mr Giveaway Jokiharju should hit the pine long before EJ does.

This 11-7 crap has to go. DG needs to find 4 lines and stick with them.  He also needs to play 3 consistent D pairs.  The guys need to develop some chemistry so that the team can develop some consistency. 

Send Levi and Krebs down. Bring up Kulich and Rosen.  KA go get a center.  I’d also send Benson back to juniors.  He needs more physical development to survive in the NHL.  

The sad truth is that this season is already hanging by a thread.  Last season, only one team in the East not in a playoff spot (Fla) played their way in.  

KA needs to change his cautious approach if this team is ever going to make real progress.
