That’s the one place in this team for the upcoming season where there really isn’t any space. I can’t see anyone getting a surprise roster spot on the bottom two lines. 3 Quote
JoeSchmoe Posted August 8 Report Posted August 8 Rosen's career trajectory has been sub-NHL pace since they drafted him, and in his D+4 year that hasn't changed. Adams took a Flyer on him (pun intended) after a very good WC18 tournament. Given the Risto trade 1st round pick practically fell on his lap, he must have been thinking of using it on a high ceiling, low floor player. Unfortunately, that high ceiling is looking further and further from coming to fruition. Quote

To me, 50 points in 67 games as an underweight 20 year old in the AHL is not sub-NHL pace. He needs time to learn the North American game. Is he likely to be a first line winger? Probably not. But his AHL production is in line with most of the other forwards drafted around him. I watch a lot of Amerks games and I am not down on him. 2 Quote

If he doesn't bring elite scoring or above average size, what role do you see him playing in the NHL based on what he's done with the Amerks. Quote

If he fully develops (which is always the plan for every guy, but it doesn’t work that way), he can be a shiftier/more creative Jason Pominville. Not a 1RW on a good team, but counted on for offense and won’t hurt you defensively. If his growth stunts, he could still be a 3RW a la Tyler Ennis. Ten goals a year and hangs around in the league for a while as a low cost third liner. He has the skill to be an NHL player. Hopefully he can continue to put on weight without losing his jump. 1 Quote
