Benson didn't do *****. It was a trash call by home town refs. It was Bush league crap and those refs are garbage.

I wouldn’t go this far. It’s hard for me to understand though how the penalty for what Benson did should be both a 2 min penalty and getting punched in the head 2-3 times. Either police these with the refs calling a penalty or with frontier justice. But if Benson gets a penalty for a love tap on their goalie then there had to be a penalty to someone on the Jets for the group retribution.

I’m more pissed that Granato didn’t stick up for his guys there.  Like you said, take a fine and show some emotion.

Don't hold your breath waiting for Granato to question that call

Adams just has to do something.  Show the good players on the team that he is behind them

waive Olofsson, Bryson, Comrie and/or Jost, sign Kane, make a Godd*mn trade.

the clock is ticking on this year.

if he isn't going to make a big move,  I'll be p*ssed but he should bring up Rosen and Kulich.   Let Levi and UPL rotate.
start sitting vets who won't be here next year

This reminds me too much of Kreuger hockey. Only show up for 20 mins and expect to win. What is the ***** problem that this ***** keeps happening year after year, coach after coach, GM after GM???

Have to find ways to win these type of games.  No excuses. The yearly November slide is here.

Looking at the Playoff tracking slide.  We are exactly at the point were we flat line, and we are doing it again.  Three straight.  A win tonight was critical.

I'm thinking more postgame comment. So he still has a chance lol

He needs to do that “in the moment”.   That call was so bad that who cares if he gets an unsportsmanlike penalty.  Maybe the emotion would start rubbing off and they would start showing up more than just the last 10 minutes of the game

That’s one of those, “we’ve been in this league a little longer than you, kid” power position plays from the insecure refs

Benson's been getting that reffing all season.  He should legitimately have 1 penalty against.  Both trips called against him were garbage.

KO is not that guy.

No he’s a 4th liner at this point. I’m talking top 6 vet offensive catalyst. And I don’t think Kane is that guy at this point in his career either. 27-33 year old impact type.

Someone in the second intermission laid down the law in the locker room. That's good.

I will give them this: that third period was an entire period of a legit honest effort and if we would have gotten two periods with that effort they would have won.

The penalty on Benson was garbage but by then the hole was dug.

If they can remember to play like they did in the third for at least 66% of a game they will be a competitive team.

The Sabres score zero greasy goals. They need to jam the net, stick in the slot and score some ugly goals.

This is very true.  No traffic in front and through the slot. Just perimeter passing under pressure until we give up an odd man break on ourselves.

They outshot the Jets 27-18 and lost. Where's the goalie Kevyn???

Asshat

Kevyn is still too busy looking for players that want to be in Buffalo. No wonder he is having such a hard time building a winner here.

Yeah, that sucked, refs choked...

But...

Comrie cannot let that 3rd goal in.

2 points lost.

This season is Slippin

Is it just me or did Power completely screen Comrie’s view when that puck came in?

Who needs a goalie when you can place unrealistic expectations on a rookie goalie?  And contemplate this for a minute; KA thought a good offseason was spending $13.6m on Okoposo, Girgenson, Jost, E Johnson and Clifton.  Fukking horrible

The close regulation losses crush this team every season. Just cannot find their way to OT often enough. when times are tough they need to find a way to scrounge out a point and stay in this race.

1st period, other than the breakaway, a wrap around, and 1 cross ice pass that didn't connect the D really did a good job of keeping high danger chances down.  And Comrie rose to the challenge.

2nd period, that 1st goal against they all were just off enough that it ended up in the net.  Johnson played it ok, he forced the pass back to the trailer; Power didn't let him just sprint through and took the pass away that would've allowed a breakaway; Jost just couldn't quite get back quick enough to disrupt the shot, but he seemed to cause the shot to be rushed a bit.  Thought Comrie would like to have it back, it wasn't a good goal but it wasn't horrible on his part.

The 2nd goal, Samuelsson HAS TO cover the guy coming back door.  Dahlin had the puck carrier and the C covered.  ALL Samuelsson has to do is keep the other guy from getting past him.

The 3rd goal, Power, if you're going to screen but have a chance to block the shot, you have to make the effort to block it.  You can't duck out of the way.  Doing that causes just enough hesitation from your goalie to cost a game.  Be better.

And after that, they kept chances down again.  Defensively they played well for about 54 minutes.  But those brain farts in the other 6 killed them.

Thought the PK finally played well again for the first time in a couple of weeks.  But they are just about as bad at preventing entries as the PP is at entering.  They let the other team build up a full head of steam and then just walk right into the slot.  They have to fix this issue on both PP & PK.  It's going to be a huge issue (if it isn't already).

Go into Chicago and get the W they really need and give themselves something to build on heading into Washington.
