Yes, and no.  It was a cluster of a game but a W.

Still would like to have seen how that 2nd game would've played out had the 1st 6 minutes not seen them give up 2 goals on 2 shots and lose their best defensive D-man (no, not getting into an argument over whether Johnson is better in his own zone than Samuelsson because Muel plays 50% more than EJ does).  That's one heck of a gut punch to start.

I only had a chance to watch the highlights of each goal. Wow, that’s a really bad look for Nylander on the ENG.

Just checked, he played 6:27.  Lowest on the team.  Ryan Johnson played 8:20.   
 

How did he look?

Not enough praise for Greenway.  
the man was a beast.  Plays great D basically every game but tonight he brought it in every aspect of the game 

physical; scored , great D and blocking shots

Well, that's kind of the point.  When Bryson is in, the good D get more ice time.  And more good things happen.  😉

Who, Johnson? Pretty good when I noticed him. The Bryson thing is just a stat

Tuch is playing hard.  His shots aren’t hitting target yet, but he still finds ways to score and contribute.  Defense, PK, fighting, hustling.  
 

I think his season will click soon.  He can be a beast when he gets that crazy look going.

Mitts and JJP were impressive tonight. Peterka really leveled up his game this year and Greenway seems to add value no matter who he pairs with. 

This game was fun. Hopefully they keep playing fun hockey in Carolina.

I just realized the Sabres played 11-7 tonight with Johnson and Bryson basically splitting the 6th D slot.  

The Sabres also only played 9 forwards most of the night with VO and Krebs playing about 8 minutes each.  

A win is a win, but the whole team has to be better.

This might actually be right. Like in seriousness 

we played better today with 11 forwards cause we simply double shifted the two good lines all third period. I question the sustainability but a win is a win and other guys can hopefully get going in the meantime
