There is a clear and direct correlation when this team doesn’t play well with their continued inability to win draws.  

They've actually improved their faceoffs a lot this year from what I've seen, with the exception of this game apparently.

This team doesn’t have sandpaper and that is one of the reason DG’s Sabres won’t make the playoffs. If they do, they will not get past the first round.
