BiggPDaddy Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 So he should start Peters, who plays 4 minutes. With a more faster paced game it might be smarter to play, giving them more fresher legs on the back end.
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Obviously 12-6 is bast, but only if you have 4 lines you are going to play a normal shift ... like I said in another thread, against a team like Pittsburgh where t hey might be a ton of PPs both ways, Peters is even more useless than usual. If that is your 12th guy, the 7th defenseman is MUCH more valuable. Now, if they could send a Pyatt-Gaustad-mair line out there consistently, different story. But if Peters is the 12th, what is hurt by dressing one of the defensemen? I understand Lydman has sucked and should sit anyway, but dressing Peters is almost like dressing 17 skaters at this point ... 11 and 6 and one goon ...
Guest SABRESFAN Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I say you get your best players out their. THAT IS BEST it is recorded throughout the NHL that certain players switch positions just to get them out their because you play your best players! Such as the flyers and SAMI KAPANEN he is a RW but played DEFENSE last year at the end and in the playoffs certain players will switch positions just to get the best team out their.
