I would dump UPL in a heartbeat.  I don't think this dude has it...at no level has he ever really performed well enough to make you think he is a #1 goalie other than a 9 game stretch in 2021-22 when he got hot for 4 games and had great numbers due to only allowing 2 goals in each of those games on lots of shots against. The other 5 games he was below average to abysmal.

His rebound control is among the worst in the NHL. The only thing he is consistent at is being inconsistent. Literally you don't know if you are getting a brick wall or a turnstile in goal that night with him.

If he wasn't 6'5" would the Sabres still be carrying him?  They seem obsessed with big goalies...if he was 6'0 like Levi, dude would have been sent packing a long time ago.

I mean, there was the season he set the Sudbury Wolves franchise record for most wins in a regular season, led the Ontario Hockey League in wins, save percentage, and shutouts, and won the Red Tilson Trophy as the league's most outstanding player.

🤷‍♂️

It's on ESPN+ for me.  Are you in a possible blackout area?

That's the issue.  The backup(s) will underperform if only playing once a month... they'd improve their playoff chances with a single backup tendy playing once every 5-7 games.

I'd also suggest sitting Levi every 5 games or so, maybe even give him a week off here and there to stay fresh.   He's never playes more than 20-30 games in a season, he'll need more frequent mental breaks while he adjusts.

Counting NCAA, NHL, and a World Tourney, he played 42 games last year.
