SabresBaltimore Posted September 30, 2023 Report Posted September 30, 2023 if there was any doubt about Benson getting a 9 game try out, I think that goal clinches it. I wonder how many teams are kicking themselves already for passing on him 1 Quote

thewookie1 Posted September 30, 2023 Report Posted September 30, 2023 Benson's defensive/puckless play is probably his most interesting attribute. Most small forwards are akin to Kane or Skinner but Benson is more akin to Marner in that regard. That pick at center ice with the pop up is a very heady way to advance the puck from a flat footed position.ย 2 Quote

The video feed is the in-rink feed.ย No need for the clock or the score/SOG to be in the video because that's all on the scoreboard and throughout the building.ย Pretty much all the preseason games have been using the in-rink feed.ย Which is mildly surprising.ย Thought the Sabres weren't trendsetters in cheaping out the preseason broadcasts.ย Guess they are. 1 1 Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted September 30, 2023 Report Posted September 30, 2023 They played a very good 3rd period. ย It was interesting to see that this deep into camp, Buffalo was playing all depth defenders with our 6th D (Joki) being the only NHL regular.ย Quote
SabresBaltimore Posted September 30, 2023 Report Posted September 30, 2023 Yeah. Impressive we won by only basically playing 1 period of hockey and missing so many starters, especially on defense Quote

But this is his 4th game in 7 days.ย He's used to back to back games and then having 5 off days.ย Am willing to cut him some slack as he's soon going to be back to a regular schedule of typically 2 games on a weekend with a Wednesday game added to that rotation. 58 minutes ago, SabresBaltimore said: Yeah.
