Flashsabre Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 Odd man out with Clifton and E Johnson Please do Bryson next 3 Quote
Taro T Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 There'd better be something else happening because that makes no sense in and of itself. 9 5 Quote
Eli Cash Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 Liked him. Played a heavy game. Plus, he had a sweet goal song. 2 1 Quote
shrader Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 I’d rather have his physical side over Stillman. As taro’s suggesting, I think/hope something else is in play. 3 Quote
Pimlach Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 Odd. If there is not other moves with it then they gave him away. I thought he was good when healthy. He provided muscle. He played hurt for much of the season and that slowed him down. 5 Quote
nfreeman Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 Interesting. it could be a precursor to another move, or it could simply be treating a veteran right by sending him somewhere he can play instead of being healthy-scratched most nights. I liked him but he certainly had limitations. 3 1 Quote
That Aud Smell Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 Happy trails, fella. I hope I always remember your OT winner in Florida (Tampa? Idk) that made Ray lol. Also, I know his calling card was playing a physical game. I didn’t see much of that from him. Maybe injuries played a role. 1 Quote
Weave Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 Liked his game. Disappointed he is the odd man out. 2 2 Quote

We had 9 dwfensemen under NHL contract + Boosh’s analytics last year were horrendous = makes plenty of sense. Small cap savings too. 1 Quote

RochesterExpat Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 I don’t understand this move at all if it’s being done entirely in a vacuum. 1 Quote
Huckleberry Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 I liked him , maybe his fancy stats were not too good, but I loved his mentality. 1 1 Quote
thewookie1 Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 I’ll miss Bush, but he was sort of in an awkward position being a RHD without a spot. He was our 5th RHD. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 Bryson had no place on this roster, so we trade Ilya. I loved Lyubushkin. I will definitely always remember his OT winner. Ty for your time here! 1 Quote

Carmel Corn Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 Sorry to see him go, seemed like a good locker room guy who would also keep opposing forwards honest. Quote

Mustache of God Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 I'll always remember his OT goal vs Tampa and Razors ensuing reaction. We had a crowded blue line and this feels like Adam trying to do right with him knowing he wasn't in the plans. Also a bit of a cap dump? Wasn't he making around $4M? 2 Quote

HumanSlinky39 Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 I'll always remember that sweet OT winner against Tampa. Best of luck, Boooosh. 2 Quote
Randall Flagg Posted August 19, 2023 Report Posted August 19, 2023 (edited) This makes sense playing a numbers game if handedness is important, and considering that he was vocal about wanting more ice time LD RD 23 26 25 33? (Clifton) 61 10/46/6 But they tend to stress it's not as important as getting the best 6 out there. I know they just acquired Johnson, I'm not at all convinced he's better than Boosh, though he is of the same mold Regardless, the move is slightly odd given that Kevyn talked multiple times about how defensive depth issues are the main thing that sunk us. Having Boosh and Stillman as 7/8 is a lot better than having Stillman and Bryson. There will be a lot of injuries, and what the hell is after Bryson? I liked Boosh. Considering all of these angles, I would not at all be surprised if this is a sort of precursor move for something else. But every time I've thought that with Kevyn it hasn't been true Edited August 19, 2023 by Randall Flagg 2 Quote
