Kalinin hurt his "lower left leg - either ankle or foot" according to Hamilton on WGR.

sounds like gaustad will be fine (wind knocked out), and gr is reporting that kalinin took a shot off the ankle... hope its not broken ala satan from 99.

That collision with Volchenkov looked like a train wreck. You're right Gaustad came back, but I think Volchenkov knocked himself out of the game, possibly the series

I was watching the CBC coverage, and they pointed out via several replays where that Ottawa player (Volchenkov) got really hurt when his head smacked against the top of the players bench after he bounced off Gaustad. Real nasty head/neck snapping motion, essentially a whiplash effect.
