GASabresIUFAN Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 Another 6'0" goalie. I love this pick. I had him as a late 3rd rd pick. 4 1 Quote
Eleven Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 Take one (almost) every year. Good pick. 2 7 Quote
RochesterExpat Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 Wonder why he fell past his consensus ranking. Size? Quote
LabattBlue Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 (edited) Looks like his numbers improved from 21-22 to 22-23. Me likey. Edited June 29, 2023 by LabattBlue Quote
Thorner Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 Said it was a sneaky good pick on NHL network Played most of season as back up 2 Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted June 29, 2023 Author Report Posted June 29, 2023 (edited) WHL standout with Seattle. 25-8-0 with a 2.15 and a .918. Represented Canada in the Hlinka Gretzky last season 4-0 with a .50 gaa and a .976 save %. This is a very athletic goalie. Sound familiar? Edited June 29, 2023 by GASabresIUFAN 5 Quote

dudacek Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 Almost perfect for Team Canada in the most recent Hlinka/Gretzky Cup. 2 goals against in 4 games, .976 SV% 1 Quote

I think he measured slightly smaller than expected at the combine. I’m seeing him listed as 6’1” and 6’2” different places. Measured 6’0.5” at the combine. 1 Quote

He'll also probably represent Canada at higher level Int tournaments. Levi played for Canada in his D+1 season at the U20s and went 6-1-0 with a .75 and a .964. 1 Quote
French Collection Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 I liked Milic or Suchanek but this guy has potential. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted June 29, 2023 Author Report Posted June 29, 2023 (edited) Suchanek may go undrafted. Sounds like a perfect UFA signing post draft. Milic went in the 5th rd (151) to WPG. Might even be a good idea to use our 7th rd pick on him. Edited June 29, 2023 by GASabresIUFAN 1 1 Quote

Rasmus_ Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 Great draft pick. I loved Hrabal, but this guy this late is a nice sneaky gem. Just keep adding to the pipeline. Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 This is a fun pick. Should be interesting to watch him too. 1 Quote

Turbo44 Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 Fortsen said his Dad is 6'3" and his Mom is 5'10", so it's likely this kid grow another couple of inches 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 If Ratzlaff were already 6'2" he'd have gone in that 2nd round run of six goalies selected. Quote

PerreaultForever Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 Finally a goalie. Not my first choice(s) for goalie but goalie every year in the later rounds is a big part of my philosophy so I like this one. Gaolies are weird, no way to know what he will possibly become. Quote
French Collection Posted June 29, 2023 Report Posted June 29, 2023 Probably better than Leinonen right now. Quote
