Corp000085 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Game starts at 7. The first two game threads have been excellent. Keep it up and GO SABRES!
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Well here we go ... 3rd game in 4 nights against a rested Ottawa team ... a few years ago I think I'd be happy if the Sabres could grind out a point, but I think the days of 1-1 games in this series are over ... it's going to be wide-open, and if the Sabres legs are tired it could be a long night ... but let's see what happens ...
Strow Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Ill have to agree here I don't see the sabres pulling this one out but who knows
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Well no updates from me, the digital cable package doesn't have the game on yet, some problems ...
hopeleslyobvious Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Well no updates from me, the digital cable package doesn't have the game on yet, some problems ... Same here, on the phone with Comcast...Only getting Toronto Montreal game right now!
Knightrider Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Dumont shoots - Hasek makes the save! Ottawa came out a little faster, but seem like it is a little more even...
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Got it now ... finally ... good pressure after the PP ...
Knightrider Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 I'll hand it off to you since you can actually see it...
coloradosabresfan Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 damn they got the windows media servers blocked here at work so no audio, appreciate the updates guys!
Knightrider Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Halfway through the 1st, no score...
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 pretty sloppy both ways so far ... Hasek is roaming all over the place, catching the puck, skating out and passing it off, all that jazz ... similar start to the Boston game last nigt, hopefully the pace will pick up like that one did
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Great shift y Briere-vanek-DuMont line ... forced another penalty on Pothier ...
Knightrider Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Ottawa Scores - Lydman couldn't get it out...
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 1-0 Ottawa ... not sure what Lydman was thinking but he managed to turn it over 3 times in 5 seconds ... he has ooked brutal ... Spezza gets the goal
Strow Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 is this the first time the sabres are behind this season?
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 McKee just butterflied and saved Miller's bacon, he got caught behind the net ... SPezza and Heatly together are scary ...
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 less than 2 mins left in period, another PP chance ...gotta get one ...
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 1-0 after one ... 30 secs left on PP ... somehow sabres out-shot them 19-9 ... PPs helped ... not a great period but they seem to have found their legs ... Hasek looks pretty good
Larry Playfair Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Ottawa had beter scoring chances, but w/ 19 shots something is going to go in soon.
Corp000085 Posted October 8, 2005 Author Report Posted October 8, 2005 end of 1st period thoughts lydman is the weekest link... goodbye. That was a goal scored by vanek. Hasek tried to cover but the puck clearly went across the line, from the over-the-net camera angle. The whistle had blown. I'm pretty dissapointed that the refs had the quick whistle and that rick and jim didn't mention the goof. Hopefully they'll come out flying on the rest of this PP... the sabres have gotten off a bunch of shots, but still look really flat in the defensive zone. Again, get well kalinin... Lydman sucks and we need you back!
Boo Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 3rd game in 4 nights. On the road. Best team in the league. And losing. If they can pull this one out it's one hell of a statement game. I say they win 4-3. In a shootout.
