LA Kings look like they are wearing tinfoil hats for helmets

The first thing I thought of was War of The Worlds wearing tinfoil hats when I saw these helmets...

I clicked on this topic thinking it must refer to the Kings having some crazy theory like McDavid is an alien planted in the NHL by the Canadian government. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you literally meant their helmets look like tin foil.

Maybe the idea is to temporarily blind the opponent when light strikes it at just the right angle?  I can't think of another reason for wearing it.

Speaking of Kings properties that should be wearing tinfoil hats; Portillo just gave up a PP goal with just over a minute left in the 2nd.  Nittany Lions 1, Wolverines 0.  Through 2 periods.  The winner will take on Quinnipiac in the Frozen 4.

That's what PTR said.  Guess they kept it close but took a 5 minute major and the game got away from them.

I think some shiny gold Sabres helmets would look sweet. Theres a novelty to a lot of this ugly 90s looking gear weve been seeing lately

I don't like either but I think the golden ones are the worst. They both reflect light in a weird way and look like something out of a video game.
