That was a decent game. They certainly outplayed them in the 1st. Then relatively even the rest of the game.

I'd still like to see some more jam and definitely some players going to the front, so many times they'd have a player behind the net or half wall, looking for a pass to the slot, and nada.

Good for Comrie, he made some good ones. Happy to see the win, just so we can stop talking about Bedard 😂

Yup.  I sure enjoyed seeing a grind it out win by the Sabres.

Hopefully something clicks and they can duplicate this level of patience, solid positioning, and even some grit.

Well done Sabre Community.

Can't wait to watch replay.

It will be so much less stressful watching it after knowing the outcome. 😉

Great game,  was not expecting that out of Comrie.

I'm not so sure Comrie was expecting it either but he certainly deserves the accolades for tonight's effort. He earned them.

Nobody plays more boring hockey than the Islanders.

It’s a shame if they get in. They suck the life out of the sport. Biznasty is right when he says they don’t deserve to make the playoffs and hopes we get in.

At least we will try and score.

And suddenly we are back in it. If this streaky team can pull out an 8-2 stretch I think they sneak in. Crazy

We aren't back in it. We're on the edge of death, and it's these same players that have put us rhere.

The first step in solving a problem, is acknowledging there is a problem.

They do remind one of the NJ teams from a few years back. It worked for them but it seemed every game was 1-0 or 2-1. Those styles have to be near perfect to work with no mistakes. They don't have the NJ talent to do that.

Those mind-numbingly dull neutral zone trap NJ teams. Ugh.

And that was their 21st road win this season. Those of you disciples of the mythical Deluca 0.500 can rejoice that they've clinched one for the road.

Fun game to watch. They played reasonable team defense all game. There's something about the Aisles that they can actually play defense against them. Not positive what/why that is but they can't do it against so many other teams.

They played very good team D the 2nd and 3rd periods of the Miller game too. And they were playing good the 1st half of the 1s game in Barclay's. (Didn't get to watch the 2nd half of that game. Know they lost, but not sure how they played in that snoozefest.)

They're still alive. Probably won't get all the way back into a playoff spot, but they're still playing meaningful games in the last week of March and almost definitely will be still playing them into April. Baby steps.

They stopped the bleeding by beating 2 extremely good teams on back to back nights.

And, still have a flicker of hope for the playoffs but probably need to go 9-1.  If the teams chasing the WC all go 5-5 ish, we get in.

Could really use a Caps regulation win tonight.

Just got home and finished the game. One of the best I've seen this Sabres team play. Who had Comrie with a shutout after giving up 10?

Mama Comrie

Well there is that.

But, they do seem to have issues keeping the heavier teams from making them look silly in their own end.  That they can actually do it against A team gives hope they could do it against more next season.

And against the Aisles they don't let them work into the dirty areas without getting a body / stick on them.  One of the very few teams they do that against.

Wingers definitely seemed a step closer to their assignments. Islanders aren’t exactly offensive gurus, but that was defense.

Fourth line still looked awful. Okposo gets the goal, but man that line was a liability all night.

Comrie gets a deserved shutout.

That was about as unexpected victory of the season. Comrie a shutout?  Who would have bet on that?  KO withhis 10th and the GWG.  Lyubuskin with the primary assist. Mitts makes a good D play to launch Cozens who sets up Skinner for the empty net goal.

Weird.  Now they have won back to back games on back to back nights.

Is it just me, or are there a couple posters who only show up in the GDT post game when the Sabres lose? 😂

They played a nice solid road game. Props to Comrie 👍🏼
I liked Cozens and Booosh tonight

The Crapitals are not doing their part so far tonight. Don't they understand that the Sabres are trying to make a late playoff push here? Sheesh.
