Ray Ferraro scored 108 goals in 72 games in the WHL. Guy Lafleur scored 130 goals in 62 games in the Q. He had 103 goals the year before. There may be more but Bedard is very impressive lapping the WHL as a 17 year old. Agreed. But all the armchair scouts here apparently know more than the professional scouts and also apparently there was zero reason Bedard was granted exceptional status as well. How many times has that happened exactly? But yeah nothing to see here. Quote

Two, what the hell happened a couple of weeks ago? The Sabres were actually in a playoff spot on the NHL website for part of a day. They beat Toronto and apparently figured that was all they needed to do. Are there any theories about either of these? We've gone over the home thing with young teams before, but I do sometimes question Granato's line matching at home. he seems stuck on the same idea most of the time whether it is working or not. As for Bedard, to quote Torts recently "tanking is asinine". We learned this already have we not? Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted March 26, 2023 Report Posted March 26, 2023 Just when we thought they would fully implode, they go and win 2 in a row and bam we are out of the Bedard sweepstakes. Make up your mind Sabres. To Bedard or Not to Bedard, that is the question. Quote

Who would you draft first a) 2015 Mcdavid b) 2023 Bedard. Not exactly a fair question because we know how good McDavid became. Try to put that aside Quote

Whether he becomes as good as McDavid is another question entirely. Bedard has one of the best shots I've ever seen in a prospect. 1 Quote
