Breaths. Respectfully, I have no idea how fragile he is, but I agree, keep him away from Boston. Where’s the upside? A win…. Big deal the season is over? Or they get in his head? They will most certainly make a run at him. I am skeptical his teammates would stand up for him. Let him establish some chemistry. Don’t ruin him IF the season is over. They've mentally and physically reached their limit this season, it sucks but we're the youngest team in the league so we shouldn't be surprised necessarily. So sick of this excuse. They are young by choice. There is no reason a rebuild requires 3 entire seasons being thrown away. This is the 4th GM in a row that this franchise has hired who is way too comfortable burning seasons for some future that never materializes. Sabres fans have Stockholm syndrome from the franchise's historic run of ineptitude, but it's important to remember that the NHL is not a developmental league. Fans of a franchise should be able to look forward to more than just prospect porn. 4 2 1 Quote

Slack_in_MA Posted March 18, 2023 Report Posted March 18, 2023 Huh. Wouldn’t have guessed this team to be quitters. 1 Quote
thewookie1 Posted March 18, 2023 Report Posted March 18, 2023 Sabres have one large Achilles heel and it’s defensively set up teams that block shots. Dahlin’s injury may have legitimately ended our year 1 Quote
Carmel Corn Posted March 18, 2023 Report Posted March 18, 2023 Maybe the Sabres should attend the mental health awareness panel meeting. 1 1 Quote

Well because we hear the same thing season after season and we get that same season after season. I will not be positive about this organization until they show they deserve it. This whole damn season we have seen how bad the defense was and they did nothing. Its a BS excuse to say offense is easier to learn than defense. When they it probably be better to teach them defense first. Also, letting the kids just play obviously isn’t good and this game proves it. Young athletes need structure and the Sabres lack that. I think DG is doing a huge disservice to these young men by being their buddy and not their coach. 1 Quote
FrenchConnection44 Posted March 18, 2023 Report Posted March 18, 2023 This team is toast. Losing to the Flyers is irritating. Very frustrating. That said, the blasting of the team is absurd. It’s improved in leaps and bounds from last year. Youth is not an “excuse.” It’s a fact. Reality. The vast majority of the team is not yet in their prime; not close. Most are 2-3 years away. But they do have a good deal of talent. They are in serious need of a strong, top 2, top 4 defenseman. And a two-way forward. I don’t know that that will be out there after the trade deadline deals unfortunately. 1 Quote

Carmel Corn Posted March 18, 2023 Report Posted March 18, 2023 I don't think our collective coaching staff understands how to come up with an effective special teams strategy. Quote
