Thompson needs to start putting on the cape, he's been average the last couple of games imo.

Alex Tuch is a really good hockey player

The Sabres brand has been severely damaged since 06/07, even locally. Shouldn't surprise the players, they contribute to the damage

More fans in the building with a better record. Reverse their home record and they have 76 pts good for 7 place right now. And being 17-13 at home isnt asking very much at all

This team has earned the support of fans, IMO.

Every skater on this team knows that

a.) they've busted their balls and had a bunch of career years to bring this city its first playoff chase in ten years
b.) they have a couple obvious holes, which were obvious since last April, and have not received any help for, in deference to "the future"

Their effort when the rubber hits the road, and the roster and arena look like this, is no surprise. The same thing happened in 2019

Power had a chance to set the tone in his D zone… Instead of taking the man into the boards with a hard hit… he glances off the guy… Kid is big enough but doesn’t use his size… Needs to hit early…

Can you imagine playing there? Empty seats tons of out of town fans and your own fans can't be bothered unless you grab the lead.

It’s that time after the whistle to the start of play.  Most arenas are going crazy with music, score board theatrics, fake noise.

In Buffalo the crowd reflects the home team play more than most places.  So many barrage you with constant, very loud distractions in between the play.  Buffalo is old school in the game day experience.

It’s not PP specific but it’s super obvious right now.

Why do the Sabres suck so bad working the puck from behind the net in the offensive zone. Do they not know they can work the puck low to high?
