To look at this on the bright side, they are keeping Edmonton a little bit further away from somehow magically winning the Bedard sweepstakes.......

We really need the confused emoji back

He stood out on the one goal just standing around looking lost in front of Anderson

Or the other goal where McDavid owned him.

Well, a very reachable 2 points squandered away because they couldn't finish. They had multiple empty nets. These are the type of games that are the lesson teachers.

The playoffs are slipping away sadly.

C’mon man….I hate it too…..

If we had to lose, best to a western team.

If Muel and Stillman can't go I'd call up whoever is next in line on D from Rochester to take Bryson's spot. Just a big body who doesn't get knocked down at first contact would be an improvement.

If we had to lose one on this back to back, this was the one

I honestly think that is why we saw Bryson a lot in the last period.  Needed to save energy for tomorrow

hopefully Stillman, Samuelsson and Jost are ready to go

Biggest came in 13 maybe 15 years or so tomorrow

On another note, Chicago is ahead 2-0 against Ottawa early in the second.

Yes.  I was just going to post that.  A Blackhawks win would help a lot.

Oh I agree, but the points are critical, more critical than which conference we lost them to. We're running out of runway.

This isn't logical. Either way we now have 2 less points we can make this season.

Every point matters now.

Just not quite good enough. Tough back to back tomorrow. Ugh.

Hope we have Muel, Jost, and Stillman back tomorrow.

We deserved a better fate in this one. Goaltending difference and some bad luck. Ultimately their Skinner stopped our Skinner more than the reverse and that's your difference.

Cozens was really good tonight. Greenway did nothing (but it's just his first game).

Clearly, should have worn the goat heads.

Tomorrow you gotta show up in a big way. Hopefully Samuelsson can play so Bryson can ride the bench. I'd make a call up before I'd let Olofsson back out there.

The addition of Ekholm is why the Oilers will get to the SCF

We had a lot of good shots but not too much high danger chances the Oilers seemed to be able to make things difficult for our O.

They play like this vs the West they’ll go a long ways.

We had a boatload of high danger chances.

Isn't that the same thing Joker did in Tampa a few weeks ago that left the Sabres short handed going into overtime.

I dunno. Guess it was hard for the refs to determine a penalty because of the location.

Meh - a few in spurts but I thought it was tough.  I don’t recall feeling like “dam that should have been a goal” on more then 1 or 2.

We’re an elite offense and scored 2 goals - Skinner was good.  I’m just saying it felt like the Oilers collectively looked better making it tough on us thru the neutral zone.

When we were able to cycle I think we got a few chances in the 3rd but it didn’t feel like they were high danger.  11 shots on net in the 3rd.

4-0 Chicago.
