A 2nd (or 1st) and 4th with someone retaining salary? Surely some other additions will be announced?

Seems... far less than for Jeannot got, even though Jeannot is a mid-to-bottom 6 RFA (and only 2 years from UFA, he's arbitration eligible and could even sign a tender at a level TB couldn't afford but would still be way less than recouping what they gave up for him in draft compensation).

Is it just me or are more big names being traded then usual? Meier, Kane, Horvat, RoR, Trasenko to name some with more on the block including Karlsson and Chychrun.

Lots of expiring contracts on bad teams this year.

Guess those Hall style "you may trade me to X and only X" conditions really do yutz up the return.

Was hoping it would cost the Rags more than just that to rent Citizen Kane.

Yep it reminds me of the Hall to Bruins deal. No leverage for the Hawks in this situation.

Contract situation and player dictating where he would go.

It’s Taylor Hall all over again.

I expect the apology to Kevyn Adams thread to be posted within minutes.

He's definitely far from what he was, but on any given night or moment he can still have an impact. For that bargain price the Rangers win the deal. It still makes them a better team than they were. It is a bit like Taylor Hall actually.

Unless their goalie stands on his head though they're still not getting out of their division.
