Buffalo needs to make the goatheads permanent

How about a compromise? Where the blue/gold whites on the road and the black/red goat heads at home?

We can't because our 1 loss in the Goatheads happened when we wore them two straight home games.

I love the Goatheads.... i have 3 from the first time.... but.... NO!!! love the B&G first.... Goats second. Rater keep them as the 3rd.... great tandem!

Same, the Sabres spent a decade or two in mediocre/terrible jersey wilderness. Whatever superstition is driving this doesn't work for me.

If the Sabres went to them full time, the novelty would wear off.

Have a lot of good memories of the Hasek years which were primarily in B&R and they've been fun to watch (except for the rescheduled Filly game) in B&R but their colors are and should be BLUE and GOLD.

Blue and Gold is the permanent.  Black Goatheads are great change of pace and cool.  

 

I loved those Goathead teams too.  Talk about scrappy Goatheads ....

If the novelty wears off for the players then they won't be still winning 90% of those games and scoring 6+ every game, so yes, would care.  ;)

I see the allure.  But note that the pajama goatheads in white had quite the opposite outcome; they kinda sucked in those.

Assuming that you mean the black unis, I do kind of like the way the team plays in them.  But I wonder how much is the uni itself versus the fact that they are the "big game" jerseys.  If they went to the old goatheads full time, would their record really be any better?  Would they be going back to the old traditional blue and gold for their big game thirds and maybe they'd play better with those... just because of the novelty?

As a Sabres fan from the beginning I love the blue and gold color scheme.  I am not a fan of the goathead logo but I have to admit that this season they've played well in the black goatheads.
