Isles score twice in the third. Up 3-2 with 9 to go.

ENG makes it 4-2 NYI!

Isles winning is huge, we need to have these teams cancel each other out with regulation wins. Also we have 6 games (12 possible points) to make up their 5 points, which is not unreasonable

We need DET and PIT to lose more, since they are closer to us in games played.

All going good so far tonight...

Canadiens up 3-0 on Philly.

Hurricanes up 2-0 on Sens.

Kings up 3-0 on Isles.

Philly and the Sens aren’t in the race

MAYBE the sens but the Flyers have a .475 points %. They aren’t a factor

So big slate of games for fans to be interested in.

Need Rangers over Caps.

St Louis over Pittsburgh.

Montreal over Ottawa.

Tampa over Detroit.

Come on hockey gods.

STL and PIT have both lost 4 in a row. We'll see if Berube's anger in the last postgame will wake his squad up, but after moving out Tarasenko and ROR, I'm not sure we should be counting on the Blues to provide much assistance the remainder of the year.

Tampa. In the next 5 games, TBL can do the Sabres a bunch of help: @DET, @PIT, FLA, PIT, @BUF. 4 wins followed by a loss in Buffalo would be a lovely week for the Lightning (and for us).

That's all the scoreboard watching we need to do.

I’m trying to forget that leaf game too

Do we care about Rags/Caps?  Feels like Washington is just plain out of it.

They've lost 6 in a row.  Would like to see that climb to 8 in a row.  Get as many teams out of the race as possible now.  So that if the Sabres do have another 3-4 game slide left in them there aren't too many teams to now climb back over.  (Ideally, they'll have banked a few excess W's by then that they don't have to climb over anybody.)

Rangers not doing us any favours lately.

just have to put the Caps out of it ourselves tomorrow

Btw, Watching a bit of the wash vs NYR game.  PK is excellent in the studio.  Need to find another personality to play off of him.  Messier ain’t it

PIT wins...Sabres drop to 9th in the conference.

(Games in hand, I know, I know...)

Game in hand, game.  ;)

But right now, St. Louis might be the worst team in the league.  That it took Pittsburgh until there were less than 6 minutes left in the game to go up is encouraging.

[edit: and it turns out Pittsburgh needed OT to win it as the Blues tied it back up in regulation.]
