What is with this teams defence in the last 2 mins of a half / game ?

McDermott has to figure it out and fast.  If they don't blow people out , they lose.  Except for the miracle vs Tyrod and the Giants

Matt Canada punted by the Steelers. Probably saw the difference from Dorsey to Brady and finally decided to pull the trigger there.

They still have a QB problem

I think the Bills can beat the Eagles on Sunday.

Hoping the offense continues to find its groove.   More worried about all the injuries on defense right now.   Philly has a physical team, even on offense and at QB.

IF they don't suffer any more substantial injuries and start getting the 2ndary back, there isn't a game on the schedule they can't win.

But, it's a more likely bet that they split the next 2.  What happens after that?  Who knows?

Because he does know. He just hasn't told us yet.

Colts waived Shaq Leonard

Major back issues.

Bills are throwing the quick short stuff to KIncaid and the backs. Shakir takes 3 for long gains.

Jets HC  Salah post game mentioned part of  D vs. Allen was deeper coverage and said "hero ball". That's how everyone views him.  He won't throw short. Diggs dropped a couple and almost lost a fumble. Davis was ignored.

Other help was ID'd and used well. Not a bd start for Brady.

Davis is primarily in the game for his blocking.  When he leaves next year because some team gives him an offer the Bills can't match, wonder whether the Bills bring in another larger guy to fill Davis' role as the 2WR or if they give the smaller Shakir who won't be as effective at blocking but seems to catch everything thrown his way the opportunity there.  They could probably get away with Shakir if they really do start going to a lot of 12 personnel sets like they planned to do before Knox broke his wrist.

God help us.

Allen’s made it clear by his play: He prefers 11, 10, or empty personnel groupings.

If Kincaid is lined up away from the T (or out wide on the same side as Knox) isn't that effectively the same as the 11?

But with the added bonus that the D doesn't know if the Bills will line up in a heavy formation or not just from the personnel.  Absolutely loved the Kincaid pick when it was made and seeing him able to block as well as he did on Sunday this early in his pro career makes it an even better choice.  They can start going 'no huddle' with Diggs, Davis/Shakir, Knox, Kincaid, and Cook/Murray and the D has to be ready to try to stop literally the entire play book because you can run 2 TE power formations with that personnel and you can run empty formations with them (and pretty much anything inbetween).

Maybe? Idk. The 12 they were running with Knox seemed to get Allen bogged down - which was after early success (Raiders, Miami, Washington). There was also an issue, it seemed, with Knox not being good.

Agreed. My seat neighbor at the stadium keens like a grieving Irish grandmother whenever they take 86 off the field.

Well, yeah, Knox should not be a primary target.  But for forcing the D to get lined up less than optimally, having him back in the lineup would be beneficial.  MHO, YMMV.

Also, it seemed that Allen's struggles started with the shoulder injury.  Expect that had more to do with the O's problems than finally trusting Kincaid to be on the field with Knox.

Further, it's only a 1 game sample, but Brady had a plan to gain info about what the Jest were doing vs different formations and used that as the game went on.  Never got the feeling that Dorsey knew how to get that info about the D nor how to use it.  (He very well may in his next go around should he ever get back to being an OC again.)  Fully expect that if they're running 12 under Brady, it'll be more effective than it was under Dorsey.

I think you’re right, but I expect the Bills to use high draft capital on WR2 next year (or bring a FA in as the cap allows). Diggs will be turning 30 and his window will soon close. He’s also been remarkably durable considering his Viks tenure. I’m all for 12 personnel, but the Bills will need another weapon and Davis ain’t it. This will be a big six games for Shakir to prove himself.

While statistically the “letdown” game is a myth, next weeks matchup against Philly is letdown personified.  Super Bowl rematch, on the road, with a second half comeback win twist.  Add to it a shortened week for the Eagles, and a Buffalo team that desperately needs to stack wins.  To me this game is so much more important than KC.  Philly can afford a loss and Buffalo cannot.  A win next week followed by a bye week can give them the proper mindset going into KC.  A loss just hangs over their head during the bye knowing KC is a must win.

Not sure how you view him but he's very good, fast and cheap for a 23 year old 5th round pick. Might be the 3rd WR but he's a keeper for sure. Will obviously get looks.

Who is WR1 long term beyond Diggs and who replaces Davis at WR2 is to be determined. Shakir has lined up inside and out. He and Kincaid are lined up many different ways.

Yes i'm sure Vet FA and the draft will yield more answers for WR next spring. Sherfield isn't used and looked OK when he was. Maybe they have just shortened the rotation for now. Davis cannot be trusted and is strictly a blocker, IMO. Diggs had a forgettable game but the other options were finally discovered.
