Peterka is lost…

He is having some difficulties to be sure, but like Granato says, he has to figure it out.

There's a boat load of talent funneling through the organizations pipe line at nearly every position, especailly forwards. It's sink or swim time for these players. Play hockey during the games and get rewarded, play with yourself during the games and get left on the side of the road as that up and coming talent passes you on their way to take your roster spot.

Lol it's easy to say this right after he scores

But because you asked ill say 53 GP 9 Goals

Glad he got us the lead though

plus 23 assists most of which set up VO.  32 pts in 53 games (or a 48 pt pace).  Not bad for a 3rd line player.

This three headed monster in goal is really weak. It doesn't give even one goalie a chance to get into a rhythm. We need someone else, a true #1, and cut all three of these guys loose. No confidence in net.

They need to ride with UPL from here out, good and bad.

I could score on that clown. Yes, I'm a Casey hater and proudly admit it. Was a beautiful shot I will say. Still want him gone.

He had a great shot against Calgary too.

Interestingly Krebs has more goals than assists

Comrie is a victim of never being good enough to seize a starting role in a decade (ok fine, 7 seasons)

They need to run UPL and Comrie for the rest of the season to get them into a rhythm and more importantly see what they can do over the reminder of the season. Because if this doesn’t improve they need make other goaltending plans for next season if they want to be a playoff team

Are we still gonna get Levi?

Good idea for next year.  Right now we have these three guys.  One of them needs to get hot and earn more time.

The problem in that period was not Comrie.  We literally stood around for 15 minutes. Clague and Luby were dominated, and we have a few forwards that are mostly  lost.

Didn’t notice it on the goal originally, Krebs makes a really nice pass to Casey before he scores. It’s not so much that it’s difficult placement, but he one touch passes it to him really quickly and it helps him find space

Yep, he'll sign after the NE season is over and probably will play in a game or two, especially if we're not in the race any longer.  Granted, he may be our best goalie at this point.

Portillo will not sign and Johnson is a big ??

I think I’m pretty resigned to what Comrie can do, but ya, prob the plan

They’ve given up like 10 shots against.  You are being too kind to Comrie

The first goal was weak, the 2nd there was 2 Sabres and a giant Anaheim Duck player parked in front of Comrie and the 3rd there was zero defense at all, I'm not saying Comrie is good in any way but it's not like we're helping him out either, it doesn't matter if it was 3 shots 3 goals if the team isn't helping him defensively.

“He’s not exactly good but not terrible either” is the official mantra of the back up goalie. And there’s no shame in that. But that’s what Comrie is, he’s a back up goalie

When was the last time you saw a Sabres defense help out any goalie? I'll hang up and listen.
