Given how sluggish we’ve often looked coming off long breaks in the past, I was a bit leery going into this game thinking it would take the team a while to find their game. But we have looked sharp right from opening puck drop. These guys were ready. What a difference a  focused group of players and a good coaching staff makes.

The fact that Lyubushkin finished his check made me think, “cool he is back to 100% healthy.” It was so nice to see. He hasn’t played with much or any physicality and it was well known he was playing hurt.

At the game and the crowd is into it. Seeing this roster play live is a treat. People adamant about needing a heavy hitting D man are wrong. That kind of player would slow down their game.
