thewookie1 Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 Very good contract; would of loved an 8th year but 7 ain't bad. Especially at 7.1mil 2 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 Love it. What the hell, though, Cozens? Leaving money on the table. Why doesn't anyone want to get paid anymore? The cap is about to skyrocket: someone bet on yourself. (But yes, I hope it's all Bruins who bet on themselves and cripple their cap. That means you Pasta -- you're a great player and you deserve $11M.) (I still think he'll overtake Thompson in '24-'25 as the night-in/-out 1C and ice-time leader because of his all-around game.) 1 Quote

phil_soisson Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 So happy to see this. I love his energy, and talent-wise feel like he's just scratched the surface of the professional he's going to be. 1 Quote

Huckleberry Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 No way you can bring in a Timo Meier at 9 mill after these team friendly deals. Keep building from within is the motto. 9 4 Quote
Taro T Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 Only 7 years? 😞 Great job, Mr. Adams. Another key piece locked up at a reasonable deal for a long time. Awesome. Quote

LGR4GM Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 I'm not saying that Tage's deal set a precedent but... I did say that Tage's deal might at least help other things later. 4 Quote
BullBuchanan Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 I'm really shocked everyone thinks this is a great deal. Why? The first thing I thought was that is was a gross overpayment by over double. I've always seen him as a Girgensons replacement and a 3rd liner. Now he's making Tage Thompson money. Are we really saying he's an elite 2nd line center now? Horvat at 8.5 seems like a much better deal. 1 2 1 7 8 Quote
Justin C Posted February 7, 2023 Report Posted February 7, 2023 Is $7 million the new $700,000 when it comes to contracts? 3 Quote

Im not really sure where you are coming from, but Horvat is overpaid by 3 mill and might never score more than 50 points in a season which is his average. Cozens is looking like a 70-80 point player right now while carrying 2 rookies. Watch some more games first 🙂 Edit: really hope this is sarcasm xD Edited February 7, 2023 by Huckleberry 1 Quote

Is he still crazy young with a great possibility of being a 1C? Yes. The only disappointing part of this deal is that it isn't 8 years, 2 Quote
